My Story so far
Consider this as some sort of diary for myself

For the longest time of my life I've been looking for a purpose !
In love with the idea of creating something that, will surpass me in life and live maybe thousands of years beyond my beeing.
I want to make something art related but it has to be useable in some way or form.
I love building things, dismantling everything and rearrange things for no reason, from pens , controllers, sideboards and many more things another person might have assembled before.
My first time using clay was in boarding school Germany, I had to choose a class beyond the regular school classes but
couldn't decide what to choose.

I noticed, the mother of a girl i secretly fell in love was the teacher of the ceramics class. 13 year old me was fascinated with the idea of spending more time with her and the school council not sitting in my neck was also a good reason to join.
A few days later classes started and very quickly my attention shifted to the craft.
I really enjoyed it and still to this day my parents have the pieces that i made soon 20 years ago which was in the year 2005!
But life almost never went the right way for me, I'm pretty sure it is because I was not the greatest in school, always more interested in women , skateboarding, hanging out with other troublemakers like myself.
Unfortunately troublemaking was getting the best of me and Iwas forced to change school an move back to Austria .
Schools in Vienna are probably still the same they were a couple centuries ago, the same boring classes, same old subjects, same school system.... maybe if you are lucky there are some voluntary classes but you have to be really lucky ....
Of course there were no ceramics related schools or voluntary after school courses. As a teenager I lost connection to the craft I just recently discovered.........
16 years later
A friend of mine asked if we wanted to hang out and take our wifes to a pottery date.
I was super excited and started searching for ceramic Studios in vienna.
Because of corona almost all courses where booked out in advance for the next four months and we couldn't find something for four people.
I'm a Person who cannot wait such a long time for something I want to do as soon as possible.
My wife told me there is a ceramics oven in her work and she knew there was a colleague who does pottery in his spare time.
At 23:27 the night before Halloween, he asked if I wanted to visit him the next morning. At first I was thrilled and said its too late already and I wont make it in the morning. 30 minutes flew by and I couldn't stop thinking about the offer.
Did I make the wrong decision for the millionth time in my life ? A choice I will definitely never regret in my life, was made. I left the party and went so sleep, in hope I will make it to the next morning with only a couple hours of sleep.
After taking my car on a ride for an hour I arrived in a small village outside Vienna.
At first it was a little awkward , visiting a Person, even my wife hardly knew, but we we came along pretty quickly.
Still to this day I consider you as a good friend who I love sharing throwing sessions, listening to music and share each others progress and works ! Thank you for your open mind, inviting a stranger to your Studio and your motivating and kind words.
Thank you Laurence
Later that day , I searched the Internet, how much a pottery wheel costs and how long I have to wait again.
Three weeks later , my wheel arrived.
With jittering hands I unpacked it in seconds , happy like a little child on Christmas eve.
The next moment I remember, I'm sitting in my living room making an absolute mess.
There it was again , the connection, the sensation, the rough feeling on your hands , the creativity , everything I was looking for the last , what is soon 20years , the search is over ….
In hindsight , maybe I haven't been on the wrong path my hole life, probably, just took a couple of wrong turns but in the end I'm still on the right path to my destination.
HAPPINESS & FULLFILLMENT
